Our history
Nestled in the North Holland Dune Reserve, between forest and dunes, Zoomers aan het Bos is a stylish boutique hotel in Castricum where history and nature come together. The historic building first opened in 1932 as the Netherlands’ first youth hostel and was later known as Hotel Huize Koningsbosch. In early 2024, it was fully transformed into the current Zoomers, offering comfortable rooms, a warm atmosphere, and the charming Bos Brasserie.
Guests can stay overnight in Castricum while enjoying the tranquility of the forest, walks through the dunes, and proximity to the beach. The hotel is perfect for families, couples, and nature lovers looking for a unique overnight experience. With respect for its history and a focus on comfort, Zoomers aan het Bos provides a truly special stay in the heart of Castricum.
How proud we are!
And this is us today: Arthur and Carina. We have been the proud owners of the pavilion since 2007, and since 2019 we have added our beach hotel. In 2024, the forest hotel and beach cottages were added. A dream for us that has come true.
We love nature and all the good things in life. We do everything we can to make you feel at home, because home with us is by the sea and forrest.
